The practice name, TransFormational Therapy, was developed and created based on the following factors:
· Dr. Denise My Tran-Miles’ maiden name
· Dr. Denise My Tran-Miles’ dedication to her beloved and loving father, Cam Van Tran, when live monarch butterflies were released during his funeral in September 2009.
· Mr. Cam Van Tran was extremely supportive of Dr. Denise My Tran-Miles pursuing her degree in psychology and helping others since getting her bachelor’s degree in psychology back in 2005 and her master’s degree in community counseling in 2009.
· The journey and the healing process of changing and moving forward in therapy empowers the individual to be free from their past.
Dr. Denise Tran-Miles has worked in the mental health field for 19 years at different levels of care such as residential, inpatient, partial hospitalization, and outpatient settings with children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric clients.
Dr. Denise Tran-Miles received her Doctor in Psychology (PsyD) degree in 2019 at California Southern University. She attended University of Colorado in Colorado Springs to obtain her Master's degree in Community Counseling in 2009. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Behavioral Science with an emphasis in Elementary Education at Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2005.
Dr. Denise Tran-Miles is currently licensed with the state of Colorado as a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2012 (LPC.0006418) and has her basic training in EMDR from the Morrissey Institute since 2019.
